earth and swallows them and their families whole.
Aaron's staff then blossoms and grows almonds. Levites are then
given more
laws on offerings. |
I've seen that this parashat describes how Korach and crew are ungrateful
for their social standing
(even though they hold so much power) and are thus punished. We're reminded that sometimes
people just want to be in positions of power regardless of if it's merited or if they'd be effective. |
